About the Event

As society institutes new vaccine regulations, our communities are becoming further divided over the Covid-19 challenges. How can we respond proactively and stop the stigma from growing even more? And yet, the reality of “service” remains with many in the Medical, Scientific, and Front-liner fields, to all individuals regardless of vaccination status. As Christian leaders and a faith community, we also recognize that our spiritual care is an essential service for all. The ongoing pandemic concerns and interventions, requires our collective prayer for grace and discernment from an informed posture.

With support from the Toronto Black Scientists’ Task Force on Vaccine Equity (TBSF),  the Black Physicians Association of Ontario (BPAO), and in conjunction with our Canadian Black Clergy and Allies (CBCA), we are calling a combined Prayer Summit with our Medical practitioners, Scientists and Front-liners. ALL NATIONALITIES ARE INVITED.

Do mark the date, as we invite your in-person presence to join our local doctors, scientists and front-liners, as we pray and discern the leading of the Spirit of God. The summit will also be livestreamed on YouTube.

We are thankful for Evangel Temple’s hosting of the prayer, with a Covid19 guideline capacity of 250.

We can agree from our faith spectrum, that our life-source demands more than human intervention. The misnomer that mind and body elevated over the rank of soul, necessitates spiritual priority. Why? Because faith and religion remains civilization’s centrepiece (even in the midst of a virus). Wendell Gibbs
